another thread here inspired this. I figure you can always point the missus at this thread and say "Honey..look at THIS crap pile! Ours isn't HALF that bad!"
I'll post when the sun hits it, the sun sparkling on spare parts adds to the ambiance. :D

No FSJ yet, but I am looking. When the 914 is done, this is where it will be going to get a makeover....

When I am not working on it, everything stays neat and tidy. Wife is happy, as are the neighbors.
Hopefully I'll be adding a Gladiator to the Bay soon.

Well, the play area for me is camp, which i believe is a reginal term for recreational property, a place to escape to on weekends. I didn't make it up there with the plow until last weekend and had a whole winters worth of heavy wet snow to push. the j20 inpressed me.

The two projects are parked on the concrete floor of an old barn that was destroyed by a tornado. The 91 gets the shed. The beauty of this is that the vehicles are not visible from the house or the driveway. They can be seen from the road in the winter but in the summer vines grow along the fences and hide them. For now extra parts are stored in the back of the 85 GW.

I guess I was lucky growing up as along as my brother and I kept it picked up so that you could get around the barn was ours. Dad didn't care since as soon as we were old enough we took over all vehicle maintence choors except his Harley! With three stalls 2 with concrete one with a greese pit we could turn quite a few projects through it!!

Richmond 2 Car - Way too small. (Better than the one car carport we worked out of for years as a kid. We thought we hit the big time when my Dad and Mom went to a real 2 Car Garage when I was around 15. (Great Memories in every garage.)

I have a two-car garage with an extra 5 feet on one side. For my rebuild, I parked the Jeep at an angle to have more room to maneuver the engine hoist, and the other car got kicked outside. The biggest problem is the garage door is not very tall - if I lift it any higher, it won't fit in the garage.

You all are not helping me any. My garage and driveway look like a carlot / junkyard so I have been told. And I do not even have all my cars here. As it sits right now I have 3 in the garage and 6 in the driveway. And 2 at remote locations not even including the boat. The HOA has a rule about no vechicles in the driveway at night but it is never enforced. Because just about everyone has atleast 1 car in the driveway. Luckly most here are some form of gearhead and no one complains. The homes here are 650+ I will have to get some new photos up.

ready to get the 220v plug put in, and then two nice heat tubes and eventually a 2-post lift in the far bay. it should be paved out in front this spring, and rv parking (except there is no rv ) on the left side of the shop.

Got to clean up the shop this weekend and pack up a couple things to ship out. It was a wreck from winter neglect. Got the old computer desk moved and set up for QT projects. Got some QTs off the floor and on the shelf. Made a Jeep shrine over the work bench. Of course it is a 120 mph speedo. ;)

Flint, you have 401 parts for me? :)
Towtruck
03-27-2007, 09:37 AM
Good eye. They were actually built by the same coach works that was building bodies for Maserati at the time. They also look a lot like the Ferrari 400 series. But with an Opel chassis and drive train, they're cheap to maintain. And one of them has an LT1/700R4, so it not only looks like an exotic, it's got the performance of one. These are 3 of 67 cars left in the U.S. (originally about 200). All three are for sale as I want to get serious about hot rodding the Jeep and need the space....

It's dirty and doesn't look like much but it's got more than meets the eye. Biggest perks I'd say are the desk which I use way more than I thought I would when I put it in. It's great for crunching numbers and such when bending tube. Also, the computer I put together for about $100 and hooked into my company's broadband network so I can jump on here when I can't figure out what the hell I'm doing :) Oh, and the 15gb or so of music which plays through some surround speakers complete with subwoofer. In the middle there is a plate mounted in the floor which can accomodate a JD2 or Protools 105 bender. Last year I had a big gas heater mounted on the ceiling which is nice in the cold months.
