OK, I've got the original speedo pigtail coming from the firewall but that's it. I would like to have some sort of reference to how fast I'm going . What do I need to run that speedo cable to my Chevy TH350 tranny?
Thanks

I think it would be much better if you run the cable to the transfer case instead of the transmission. That way it will be accurate in 2hi, 4hi, and 4low. If you hook it to the transmission it will only be accurate in 2hi or 4 hi.

OK travlr, but what do I need as far as a cable goes. Is there one that is made to go from my stock spedo to my 208 TC?

OK, first do you have a 208 or a 205? Next do you hace cruise control? What I did on mine was to measure from the back of the speedometer to the transfer case and add about a foot so I could route it away from hot parts and secure it. What do you mean that you have the speedo pigtail?

No cruise, 205 (where was my mind?). There is a short (18") cable coming thru the firewall right under the brake master cyl. It has an internal cable that terminates in a square shape with an attachment device on it (looks like a cable coming thru a bottle cap). I'm assuming that it's the original speedo cable.
Bucky.
(just curious, can you see my sig pic?)

That sounds like the cable input for the cruise module.
