Passed emissions on my new '88 Wag this morning.
Ran it though on Friday just for GP to see where it stood--- I had never seen anything running as rich as it was. But after new plugs and chucking the Moto-crap it runs like a dream. Still could be lower, but did a quick SWAG on the setup and tried it.
And after putting a new power brake booster on the '79 Wag, I now have the '71, the '79 and the '88 Wags working and registered and happily contributing to global warming.
My God, I now have to move to Mancos.

Excellent! That's always a good reason to celebrate. I thought Queen Creek was in Pinal County. They require emmissions testing? Dang, I guess I ain't movin' there either.
3 running & licensed FSJ's. That's dang good! I've got three with 2 licensed, 1 insured and 1 and-a-half of them work.:)
See ya' on the trail!

I'm 1/4 mile inside Maricopa, so they get emissioned. One might get registered at the cabin next year though.
All three a totally legal, including in$urance.
There's 4 of them in the yard, but the old Green jeep is getting stripped (slowly, planned on it being gone by now) and crushed.

The proverbial "you suck" is in order here I think.
It's just a money maker here anymore.

Ralph,
congrats, thats great. I kept telling Jim that carb was junk. So I assume you've got it running pretty good. How does the wife like it? I still miss seeing it just down the street but it is good to know that it went to a true FSJ'er.
See you in April. Call me when you want to pick up the front axle housing.
Kevin.

 Ralph, that is good news! I had a heck of a time getting my 88 by inspection the last 2 years I lived in Charlotte. Glad we don't have to get these pigs to pass here. Nice to hear you have a fleet running and street legal.

I bought a Holley two weeks and just put it on this weekend. I was really hoping it wasn't the carb. Kept trying different things and farting around with it. I should have known better. Well I did know better, just didn't want to. If the moto-crap would have been good I would have left it on. Just tossed it onto the pile of others in the shed.
It runs great. Cruises on the freeway real nice. Got the carb dialed in just about right. I like it.:) Still a wee little rich. Read 205 out of 220 and .82 out of 1.2.
Fambly is a little back-offish on it yet. For some reason they don't trust these things right away. I don't get it.
Jenni drove it to work for the first time today. So I'll hear about all the problems tonite.
Emily doesn't like to ride in it at all. She's only been in it once and that was to school a mile away. The Jeep has to prove itself for her to like it. I told here we were taking it to Ouray this year and she said she would stay at home.
Kev - next time I drive a Wag to work I'll let you know and stop over on that axle, and that go-cart Jim's been begging me to take away.
Jerry - I would like to say I'll take off what ever you need, but then I would be lying. I already owe a couple of people things off of it and just haven't pulled them. Maybe I really do hate to see it go. I have tools you can use, unless it'a something wierd, like a radiator bearing puller, or soemthing like that.
What do you need?

Ralph, doors, door hinges, front or rear. Oh, and I didn't tell anyone the stealer deal you got on that darn good looking FSJ. Since your daughteris not sure about it I would take it off your grubby little hand:thumbsup:

Jerry,
I have 4 doors and 4 hinges off of a '64 Wag, the '71 Wag (the doors are all banged up) and an '85 Wag. Take your pick. PM me.
Yup, killer deal on that '88. From what I've seen people selling there stuff on here (not to mention Ebay), I could probably get 10X what I paid for it for sure.
