You all know that large black accent strip down ea side of a Super, well its not paint its a vinyl stripe, and boy its a beech to get off. I had to heat it with a propane torch and then scrape the rest with a razor blade.
After slicing off my left ring finger, which incidentaly interfears with me playing Pipeline on my guitar, I notice underneath the 'unexposed' color of the 1968 white paint.
A little backstory...the front fenders and all 4 doors (on my 66) have been replaced with those from a 1968 Super that was bought in So Cal, and it was a white Super.
So...the 'Glacial White' for this 68 looks a little gray, almost like an off white rather than bright white, so much so that the PO had it resprayed with a brighter white for that hot SoCal sun. So I have 2 shades of white.
Question...for those of yall with Glacial White wags, is the color as bright (when not faded) as the white of the border around this post?
I thot that the paint was faded, but hitting it with wetdry 1200 didnt make it brighter.
