You all know that large black accent strip down ea side of a Super, well its not paint its a vinyl stripe, and boy its a beech to get off. I had to heat it with a propane torch and then scrape the rest with a razor blade.

After slicing off my left ring finger, which incidentaly interfears with me playing Pipeline on my guitar, I notice underneath the 'unexposed' color of the 1968 white paint.

A little backstory...the front fenders and all 4 doors (on my 66) have been replaced with those from a 1968 Super that was bought in So Cal, and it was a white Super.

So...the 'Glacial White' for this 68 looks a little gray, almost like an off white rather than bright white, so much so that the PO had it resprayed with a brighter white for that hot SoCal sun. So I have 2 shades of white.

Question...for those of yall with Glacial White wags, is the color as bright (when not faded) as the white of the border around this post?

I thot that the paint was faded, but hitting it with wetdry 1200 didnt make it brighter.

that was 3 weeks after $1200 plastic surgery to repair a sliced tendon..sliced by a 2" penknife. Still got the scar and it hurts. Be careful with them thar razor blades. The FSJ Gods can demand a sacrifice at any moment!

Glacier White is off-white with a gray tone to it. It's not pure white, and it does look dull when compared to pure white, at least on my Gladiator it does.

The Chero top is Glacier white. the Gladiator was glacier white, but PO put a darker shade on, You can see the original paint through a worn spot on the right side hood.

The vinyl fence in the background is white white.

A TRIBUTE TO THE JEEP GODS
They were angry for some reason...what was it? They wanted to know that you sacrificed for thier cause. Sometimes I think they just want to park it for awhile and drip oil.
Serously though, I hope everything is good with your finger. Looks like it really smarted.
Glacier white is indeed a slightly gun metal grey (a little grey/blue).
