It will be 69" at the WMS, JTrucks are 67" and the WT Chero is 65" IRRC. You could add longer studs and wheel spacers to your rear axle....
Wow so I would have an EXTRA wide wide track lol. Could I just get some different offset rims that way it tucks the wheels inside my fender wells?

Your really not doing any better with the 10 bolt Chevy...Dana 44 guts
Get Tads kit and you will be happier in the long run.
Your Dana 44 has more Steering choices and parts...
Part of my reasoning was I wanted a passenger side drop axle I am looking at doing a full manual transmission conversion and towtruck on here has a T18 with a d20 transfercase which would be awesome I have a np208 transfercase with a driverside drop:banghead: . Plus I figured I could knockout 2 birds with one stone do soa and a manual:thumbsup: I think I am just going to do the manual conversion and worry about the axle later I think I could live without 4wheel drive for awhile.

Find a Dodge 3/4 or 1 ton................Axles will be a bolt in, and width is near the same.

What year dodge axles? I want to upgrade my Chero WT to 3/4 or 1ton but was going the chevy route. Bolt in sounds much nicer.

You could look for 74-79 J20 axles and that would be an easy fix as well. If not just wait and find the same years as above dana 44 from a cheif. they come up for sale pretty often you can not worry about the axle so much right now and work on the tranny swap but keep an eye out for the axle and by the time you are done with the tranny swap you can have probably found the right axle. Put out a want ad here and see if anyone has one for sale.

Yeah I was just gonna run a 2 wheel drive rig for alittle while till I find another axle. It give me a reason to put a locker in the rear:D I dont ever plan on running anything larger than 33s so I think a d44 or 10bolt would be fine. I apreciate your quick replys and great knowledge I am still learning about all this axle swaping stuff.
