gear ratios

ok so I am a newb at offroading and i bought a 90 wag for my first car. Done a bunch of engine and gas tank work on it now it run great but how do i find out what my gear ratio is and what are the prefered ratios for wheeling?

Your 90 will be either 3.31 with Tow Package or 2.72 without. To select a ratio for wheeling is going to depend on what size tires you plan on running more than anything. However 4.10 or 3.73 would probally be where you wind up with for a on/off road rig.

ok i think thqat the guy i bought it from told me that i had a 4.40 gear ratio in it but he also told me a bunch of other things that weren't true. and i think i have the tow package hence the reciever and lights hookups
