shift cable

:thumbsup: i need a little help i have a 75 wagoneer, my truck is 4x4 h all the time, i (had) a kinda shift cable for the 4x4 low, does anyone have this on there rig or any ideas how i can make something to get my truck in to 4x4 low.:banghead:

You have the infamous cable-operated low range shifter for the quadratrac xfer case. There was a reason these were only used from 73-75; they were very problematic and often broke from non-use or lack of lubrication. In 76, they went to a solid linkage with a shift lever that mounted next to the driver's seat on the tranny hump. You might want to post a wanted ad; maybe someone is parting a rig with the solid linkage. I found a shift cable here too so they are out there.
