I know...we have had too many of these...but I was curious if anyone has ever used a CJ 2.5" wide frame spring hanger and just a standard YJ shackle hanger (also 2.5 wide) I have a few boomerang shackle left over from a YJ and a few MORE shackle left over as well..

If I bolt and weld it up...would that be sufficient enough?

The only concern I have is...it may not give me enough lift needed to match the SOA up front...and I'm not really sure I want to put a lift spring inboarded to get even more sway...know what I mean....

They are stock J20 springs by the way...so with my H2s...and 14" wide Iroks.....I have a feeling I am going to rub the spring if I just do a standard shackle flip....

For the rear, inboarding the springs will give you a few inches more lift than reversing the shackle alone using River Beast's reversal kit. It should give you more lift than the front SOA, also.

I inboarded my rear springs, pointing the shackle down instead of up (the only way to do an inboard), and SOA'd the front (which was inboarded in it's original form). The rear sits a few inches higher than the front SOA, and that's with 63" chevies, with no overload spring, and a nearly flat shackle angle (needs to be angled down at ride height, which I will fix, which will make the rear even taller).

Maybe that helps you?

Oh, and I cut my spring hangers out of rectangular tubing, punched holes in them for the springs, and welded them to the frame. Costed me $8 for scrap metal at a metal junkyard. Any 2.5" spring hanger should work, just make sure the big end of the leaf spring will fit in it, and make sure the holes line up.

thanks...that's what i was afraid of...I am trying to keep this as low as possible....so that extra few inches may be a little too tall.
Ofcourse the Tire hits the spring if I just do the shackle flip...hmmmm...what to do?

Wheel Spacers...or inboarding?
One has more flex...hmmmmm????

Take leafs out of your spring pack. Less leafs = more sag = less lift with shackles inverted. Best of both worlds.
