I cut the rear quarter fenders on my 77 wagoneer and now have to weld them. Just wanted to know if anything else will work to close them up other than welding? Any suggestions?

Seam sealer that comes in a caulk tube might work for you. If your not concerned about looks too much, you could pop a few rivets into it or a few tack welds.

I inserted 1/8" x 1/2" flat bar into mine to fill the gap between the inner well and the quarter panel. Welded that up and then ground and sanded. Major pain but I tried the bending thing and really sucked at that worse.

I used a product they call "GreatStuff", its basically insulating foam that expands as it dries, available at hardware stores and comes in a can. I just sprayed it down in there, waited for it to dry, then trimmed it off with a razor blade from the outside. Its even paintable.
