I'm looking for a replacement for the larger of the two fuel filler hoses for a '91 GW. Hard to find stock replacements. Anyone have a line on some tubing that can be flexed into position and has a fuel rating?

1991 and 1970 are not the same diameter but I found mine at an industrial hose and rubber place here called (of course) Industrial Hose & Rubber. Just took them in a sample of what I had and they had it cut and ready to go in about 5 min.

That's the issue right now. Trying to find something that IS the same diameter as a GW hose and that is rated for fuel.

I'll check out IH&R, though. Sounds like if it exists, they'll have it.

Thanks!

You can also try a marine store. They should have large diameter fuel rated hose. Or at least the ones out here do.

Just did some rust control on the frame and decided to replace the hoses while the gas tank was dropped. I bought hose from a local rubber/gasket store and have some left over. Just some issues to know about it.

- The stock hose is larger on the tank end than the filler end, so you'll have to fabricate a way to reduce the new hose down on the filler end, it's the same ID the whole length.

- The OD of the hose is larger than the stock because it's wire reinforced and has a protective wrap outer layer. The vent hose will have to be re-routed instead of going through the stock hole in the frame crossmember, both will not fit.

- They charged me $3.75/ft.

If you're interested, let me know and I can send some pix.
