Went down to PA for the weekend to help a buddy with an engine swap and a 21st B-Day party....Anyways the swap only took one day so I decided I'd hit the Zimmermann 'Pass' in the Delaware Water Gap. Nothing special really, but it was nice to put the Chero thru its paces and it was really too icy to do anything else anyway.

The last of several steep, sharp, narrow and ICY switchbacks

This sort of gives you the idea of how steep the grade was. Doesn't look as steep in the pic, that and you really can't see the ravine....

Tried to flex the suspension fully out but it was too icy to go up any further, couldn't back up either:o

After that I swung by the bridge to see how frozen the river was, not quite ready to drive accross

On a side note I FINALLY figured out the rear window thing and opened the tailgate for the first time...Probably nothing major to most of you guys but it's a major milestone for me:p

Cool, it's quite fun to take an FSJ out in the snow. Looks like you had a nice little ride there, I like how that squirrel got into the bridge picture. I hope to have some similar pics up tomorrow, gonna try and find some snow to play in on the beach. Also nice to figure out how to make everything work, I still can't get the Chero's rear window to roll down, I'm not sure what's wrong because the crank will turn part way with or without a key. No matter what key I put in, whether it turns or not, the crank won't move any further. Oh well, I'll fix it in the spring.

We finally got some snow right now that's worthy of being called that. How is it over there, it looks like you've been getting a lot of this storm for a while. I took the GW and Chero for a quick spin around the block, no real snow yet though. The Chero ran great and warmed up quickly, I can't wait to sort everything out and be driving it. The GW was hesitant to warm up, I have to rebuild the carb. I tried to slide the rear of the GW in 2wd, it would barely let go it had so much grip, the Cherokee in 4wd thought it was glued to the road and wouldn't spin a tire.

Not sure how much of Sunday's storm my place in PA got but up here in Binghamton we only got an inch, if that. It was kinda wierd driving on the snow in PA because it had alot of ice on top, I couldn't even leave a foot print while walking and the Chero left maybe a 1/4" deep impression...I can't wait 'til spring and the ground is thawed out so I can see how well it fares in the mud/sand down by the river. Figures, not even a flake of snow until the ground hog said it was over:rolleyes:
