suspension options for a 77 waggy

Hey to all. I've got a 77 waggy, and am turning it into a prerunner/desert runner, and am looking for suspension options. I'm having problems with locating lift kits and knowing what is well thought of and what isn't. How is the Black Diamond kit? Should I forget a sus. lift kit and get custom springs by National? Any help would be great. Also - anybody have any clue about how much wheel travel I'm currently getting with my stock suspension?
