I'm fairly new here I was just wondering how many people use there FSJ as there daily driver and what kinda tires are you running?? I am looking at maybe getting some retreads but I have never ran them. Just wondering how good they are.

Thanks, Joe

I'm running BFG A/Ts right now. Pretty good tire, but my next set will be MT/Rs. ;)

I use BFG A/Ts too, my GW isn't a daily driver, but it's driven on the highway way too much to warrant running mud tires all the time. I intend to just get a set of Swampers to mount when I'm going offroad and run the BFG's the rest of the time. I like the BFGs on the road, they're pretty good in the rain and snow, they are very stable and the stiff sides help keep them steady, although it makes the ride a tiny bit rougher. They aren't so great in the mud or deep snow, but acceptable so long as you aren't trying to drive through thick deep mud or up slippery muddy hills. My Chero has General S/Ts on it that look pretty good, I'll see how they are on the highway.

My 91 is my DD. I run 31 inch Definitive(Pepboys) A/T's. Same tread as the BFG A/T but only $125 a piece. Love'em

I daily drive my Cherokee and I'll add to what the others mentioned as to the BFG's, VERY good tire all arround but has drawbacks like mud. I'm not running the BFG's, I've got some 31x10.50 Liberator AT's and they seem to be doing the job quite nicely so far. The only REAL thing you have to watch when using your FSJ as a daily driven vehicle is the gas mileage.

dunlop mud rovers.. cheap.. not sure how many miles you would get out of a set though on the heep. you would get more miles out of an AT for sure. I have Yokahama geolander AT II's on my ranger and love them. Way cheap out of slummit!

DD here...33x12.5x15 BFG A/T's....So far in the sloppy wet snow they are worthless unless I have a full tank-o-liquid gold for ballast. Not much street noise, good wear life span. Have bounced them around on 4 different vehicles (CJ3A, TJ, XJ, FSJ) and still haven't found one they work well with in anything sloppy. Just waiting for them to wear out so I can try something different.

I drive mine daily. I have da BFG AT's also. I like my GW to run around in. I like that their are no blind spots and l8ly the weather here has been great and I luv havin all da windows down and da music up, so i can't here all the noise from da engine n suspension. I see alot of highway and only go offroad every other weekend and I think da ATs are perfect for what I'm doin.

There use ot be a company called high tech re-treads that made M/T and A/T tires for reasonable price.

I ran a set of the M/T's on an old Land Rover I had and they worked pretty good as an off-road/trial set of wheel only. I didn't put that many miles on the road with them so can't speak on the road handling. But Off-raod they where about as good as any M/T tire around. They wheren't the best but who cares when they only cost about $80 new.

I found the link to the company http://high-tec-retreading.com//DesktopDefault.aspx?tabid=1&tabindex=0

Just bought a set of 35x12.50 15 BFG A/T's for the daily driver Wagoneer that I bought two weeks ago. I have been running it for two weeks on 36x12.50 15 super swamper tsl sx's. Now you talk about a rough ride. Try taking off in a jeep with swampers on it at 10 degrees. The flat spot so bad they will break your kneck.

J10 as a DD.

I run 33x12.5 Cooper Discoverer ST with sipes. The tread is similar to BFG AT's but more agressive looking.

So far on the road, I've had good traction in snow and rain and the tire runs quiet. Ice is a different story, but that could be said with most tires.

These tires are recent and the only off-road action they got so far is gooey construction site mud.
