flex plate noise

I have a tapping noise comming from the area of my flexplate. I had the same type noise a couple of years ago, and the plate was cracked in a couple of places. A friend and I dropped the trans. and replaced the plate. It's been running fine...till now. The noise is back. I removed the inspection plate for the trans., and the curved bottom plate, spun the plate all the way around, no cracks, broken teeth, or obvious rubbing marks. I started it with the plates off, (maybe it's rubbubg on the insp. plate?) still has noise. This is driving me nuts, any suggestions???

when you put the new flexplate on, did you loctite the bolts?
you can remove the torque conv bolts and slide it away from the flplate, then tap it w/a wrench. It should ding. thump=crack.

Yep, on the loctite, tried to do it right!
