I still would like to find the proper surround with the jeep lettering but J-trucks are very rare in yards around here.

Cool. Love the muscle look. My truck looks kinda like your before shot now tho. The original muscle insert was all shattered when I got it and it rattled around too much, so I put a gw final grill insert into my jeep logo surround, hah. (j-trucks arent all that rare in yards around here, but jtrucks with good grills left are, heh)

And dont worry about the look being "proper", if that 87 waggy was an 87 j-truck it would have the same surround. The "Jeep" surround was only on j-trucks from 81-84 or 85.
