First off, a big thanks to Chris aka WideTrack. He has taken very good care of this rig and it shows. And Chris, we keep our promise's. You forever and always, have permanent visatation/driving privilidges.

Bill is still bouncing off the walls around here and we are beat. Aside from picking up the WT today, we also sold our CJ on E-Bay last Sunday. The new owner drove in from Kansas City today to pick it up, so it has kinda been musical Jeeps around here.:)

Anyway, just a few pic's.

Started detailing when we got it home. The paint is more oxidized than I thought, but I really think after a couple more sessions of elbow grease and polish, it'll buff out even more.

What a whirl wind day! Start with a dog obedience class, pick up the Chero, sell the Cj, then get busy cleanin.....

As for the grill, I am wanting to change to a razor. The pig that is on it right now has a major crack in the top center.

We use Mequiers Wax. This is their NXT. Expensive but well worth it.

So far, the plans for the rig are as follows::
4 or 6" BDS suspension lift
new tires & rims (not sure yet which but def. 33's)
Ordered cherokee stripe for the middle of the doors & tailgate.
Thinking of converting the rear window to a manual crank if I can find
one.

That ought to be enough to get us through the next 2 weeks.

LOL!

Bob, Bill and I were talking about this the other night. Peso, Tequilla and the newest Cherk belong to ALL of us, well, except Peso. Sorry Lance, that rig is ALLLLL YOURS!:D

All joking aside, yes, the Chero is Bill's ride and I wouldn't have it any other way. He's been looking for one in this color combo (red over black) for a long time.

Yeah they are 31's. Hopefully they won't be with us much longer, as soon as I can locate some new 15 x 8 rims and some 33" rubber

Nice score on that Bill. Got a buddy over here with a 6" BDS lift on his '80 Wagoneer and it's a lot stiffer of a ride then the 4" SkyJacker softride I used to have in my '81 Laredo. Just a heads up on that. I think you'll really enjoy your Cherokee.

Congrat's Bill and Janie - nice find! With the 33's, you'll only need the 4" BDS to fit very nicely, with a very pleasing scale. Pic's are in my sig, with some in the Ouray 2005 set. I like my BDS lift, and the warranty can't be beat. There's a local shop down here that is a distributor and has at least one of everything for our rig's. I know it's a long way from Prosper, but if you need anything give a shout. I work like 3 miles from the shop.

I had the 4" BDS on my CJ, and that thing had almost as good of flex as the newer coil sprung TJ's. I also liked the ride, it smoothed out real quick.

Kerry,, if you get a chance, I would appreciate the contact info on that shop. I will check with a shop in Plano for prices as well, but I always like to get a couple of bids...

I have not personally used a 6" spring lift on one of these but some folks have mentioned they are stiff. I would want the better flex from a 4" spring lift. With the WT flares, you have more room to stuff the meats than a NT. I also vote the 4" and 33s. That is if there is any voting to be done. ;)

OH - CONGRATS to the Little clan for a fine score!

Bill, I got it at Trail's End in Ft. Worth, located roughly at I-30W and Cherry Lane:

Trails End Truck Accessories
8148 West Fwy
Fort Worth, TX 76108
(817) 246-8780

If he's still there, talk with Tyra. It's been a few years, but I seriously doubt he'll remember me - I was only there once.

Best of luck!
