They are new blanks. That early FSJ tag is nice. Don't know what model the other one goes to. My guess is a Wagon or Pickup.

When did your dad work there? My dad was there for 44 years (with a couple years off for WWII) and retired in 86.

Pretty cool - a whole family of Jeep history! My cousin is still out there (I think at the North Assembly Plant) but is probably nearing retirement. My mom is still in Toledo - next time I'm there and have some time we'll have to meet and share some stories.
Sadly, my dad passed away 4 years ago and is sorely missed. There's probably a fair chance he knew either your dad or your grandpa.

Very interesting! The top one is the same as the one in my Wag, except mine sez Kaiser rather than Willys. I do have a Willys decal on the firewall on the passenger's side--above the heater blower IIRC.
The lower one in your pic is the same format as the tag in my FC, located on the floor over the right front wheelwell.

I think some of the early FSJs used the VIN plate that had the Willys script and Kaiser Jeep emblem like the one on top.

Kewl. I miss my grandad/mum. He worked for the local Deere/Kaiser Jeep dealership (where he special ordered the J truck Im currently restoring). The Deere shop is still selling Deere tractors, and theyve got a Gladiator dually in the back yard for work.
I wouldnt buy a new Jeep, because I cant kill the old!
