So I'm trying to my truck ready for the Snowball run this weekend, did an adda leaf and 2" blocks out back. I have been looking for a cheap (free) set of 31's and no luck. I decided to bite the bullet and buy new tires, Went around to a few differnet shops, and cheapest I was getting away with was 125 a tire, not counting mounting and balancing. I have two sets of the aluminum 8 hole wheels laying so I figure why not try Pep Boys. They have the Futura M/T's for 99 a piece, and 17 mount and balance. Done deal. They call me back and say tires are done. I look and they put Futura A/T's on! So I think, be the good guy and say someting, normally I would have just left because these tires are 125 a piece. That's why I went with the M/T's 100 bucks cheaper.Girl says no problem and gives them to me for the original 99 a piece, plus theres a rebate for one of the tires. Bottom line was 429 installed after the rebate. Good deal I think.BTW white letters in:D .
So I get home and decide I can't just put them on, so I polish to almost a mirror and paint the inside of the holes and where my ( freshly restored) center caps go a nice gold color. Nice contrast on the black and wood. And before you hammer me, I'm still looking for my camera, I think my daughter hid it on me. But I will get pix up this weekend, even if I have to use my phone. :o

This is a daily driver and here in Jersey, especially where I live, there aren't many places to wheel so for longevity and comfort, I prefer an A/T tire. Most of what's around is loose sand, and I've found it better an A/T than a M/T for what we have. The 715 is getting 40 TSL's so I'll use that if I'm getting into really nasty stuff. These tires have the same pattern as the BFG A/T's and I have nver had a problem off road with them with my TJ or my 97 'Burban.

That's a good deal. I need to change my tyres - the 235/75/15s I've got at the moment are a tad too small; a shame really, as they're pretty decent (Goodyear Wrangler MTs) and are virtually: I'm hoping I might be able to swap them for a set of 32/10.5/R15s.

Sounds like you found a good shop!

I agree, for Toms River, AT's are much better. They'll be less likely to dig you down to the frame into the Pine Barrens! Don't want to become NJ Devil poo. :D
