Well i rebuilt the carb in my 88 wagon. It was and is going thru gas @ about 5 mpg. So anyway I noticed that the power valve has no vaccume hose to it. Where does it get it's vaccume from? A mechnic told me it might need some sort of reducer to limit the vaccume and not to hook it up until i get it figured out. So where does it hook up to? Thanks for you help, this gas mileage is killing me. I can deal with 12 to 14 but 5 mpg is costing me a fourtune.

there should be a twin spigoted fitting right in front of the carb, screwed into the manifold, with a big and small nipple on it.i use the small nipple, run a short tight fitting hose to the p/v nipple.

Hooks to manifold vacuum. That way when you get on the gas, vacuum goes away and it releases the valve and the fuel. With nothing hooked up the p.v. is open and you are running crazy rich all the time.
OEM it doesn't use a 'reducer' or delay valve or anything of the kind that I know of.
