Timing?

I was looking for a ball park figure on what my new timing should be this is my first time doing anything like this so i was looking for a general starting point. I realize every engine is a little different but thanks for the help.

Rig specs are as follows
1976 cherokee 360
MSD: Dizzy(HEI),coil, 6A ignition box
Edelbrock performer intake and carb
Headman Headers 3 inch single exhaust with a glass pack
I will be using the rig for towing my boat and some moderate four wheeling
I live in denver so all driving will be above 5000 ft up to 13000 ft

also msd reccomends running aplug with a .50 to .60 gap anyone know where to buy these? .... part numbers would be appreciated
