I'm haveing some trouble. I did a compression check and couldn't get anything on number one. Pulled the head the and found the exhaust valve was bent. I took the head to a machine shop they rebuilt the head. They found two other bent valves when I put the rocker arms back on I noticed that the valve springs were compressing even with the pushrods all the way down. I went a head and torked them all the way down. I think I may have bent the valves again. Is there any way to adjust these things or shim them up? THanks

I believe these are non adjustable. Torque to 23 ft.lb. If your bending valves then your timing chain may have jumped.

double check the length of your pushrods and lifters, I have seen people get too long have problems.

Even a mm can make a difference on pushrods, compare to old ones first... and welcome smile.gif

Crane cams sells a shim kit for the AMC 360 to shim under the rocker arms for the correct preload on the pushrods. I am surpised you bent the valves, before I rebuilt my engine I bent 4 pushrods due to not enough clearance, there wasnt any room between the coils on the springs when the valve was open all the way. When you think about it, if the head has been milled at all,or in my case the head gasket shot. The distance from the cam to the rocker arms is going to be shorter. So like has been mentioned check pushrod length. If you need the shim kit the part # of the kit is Crane# CRA-99179-1. Costs around $10 for the kit. I was able to order one through the local parts store and this or pushrod length is the only way to adjust the clearance on the valves.
