I just got finished changing my oil and the oil seemed to be thin and smell like gas.

Luckilly this vehicle hasn't been driven much, but what could be causing this?

I thought it may be the fuel pump, would this be correct? Anything else I need to check?

It runs great, no problems noticed until I changed the oil.

Thanks, and please tell me it's not something too expensive. smile.gif

It could be that the intake manifold's gasket is not sealed up right. If it is a bad seal I dont think it is to expensive to fix.

It's been my experience that 99 times out of a hundred it's the fuel pump diaphram.

Could also be cracked heads, but I doubt it. If it were, you would be experiencing a whole lot worse symptoms! smile.gif

if you still have the oil, drop some on a piece of cardboard. if it has fuel in it you will see the wet spot growing faster then the puddle of oil moves. you will need a fuel pump, unless you are guy number 100
