Yesterday I ordered a 3" Body Lift from thier site for $87.51. They emailed my receipt and all was good. Today I received an email from them. It is posted below.

Hello Sam,

Thank you for your order!

I'm sorry but this item is out of stock. I've credited your card
and canceled the order. Performance has increased our price on this
item and the new sale price is $116.43. I will have more available within
a day or two. If you are still interested in ordering, you can place your
order again at that time.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Will

So I called their customer service center. I spoke with Adam. He was very rude and basically told me they didn't have to go by their policy (posted on their site). But he did offer to let me reorder at the higher price. Also they are still accepting orders for this kit on their site. It doesn't say anywhere that they are out of stock. I have filed a complaint with the better business burea which Adam said would do no good since they could do whatever they wanted.

I suggest that everyone stay away from them.

Thump, I'd go straight to the top on that one. That's BS and you can fight that. Just keep creating a stink until you get what you paid for, policy or not. Get a manager on the phone and just keep saying,"this is unsatisfactory and i want some resolve."

Great now I have had to open a dispute with my bank too. They took the money out of the account after they sent the email to tell me the order is canceled. I also had to cancel the order on my other body lift and pay a 20% restock fee so that it didn't over draft my account. So now my account is froze till this is resolved.

I see a flood of email coming to a particular place...worked before and don't see why it won't work again.

Here is the addy and I sent a nice email...no spit or mud, just stating fact I will probably look elsewhere when I purchase parts for my toys and that I will not steer any of my friends or people I know through my affiliation with a couple of chapters of off-road clubs toward their business.

To whom it may concern;

I understand you’re a business and everyone needs to make a dollar, but your act of refusing to honor a quoted price posted on the web and then turning around and offering it at a substantial increase is poor practice.
This action may (and will) cost you quite a few sales with just “word of mouth” posted in several forums including the International Full Size Jeep Association (ifsja.org with well over twelve thousand members) as well as many local chapters and clubs located throughout the United States (and beyond).

Your refusals to complete a transaction along with your unprofessional actions are now noted and until a time that your business practice changes, consider this a “do not call” letter.

No threats, just stating fact I will probably look elsewhere when I purchase parts for my toys. I will not steer any of my friends or people I know through my affiliation with several chapters of off-road clubs toward your business.

Added my voice to the 4wheelsupply response. I sent them an email from one of my online email accounts with same general verbage as PlumCrazy posted.

You should post this over on Pirate4X4.com. They are a vendor over there & probably won't like the negative publicity, especially since they're actively advertising right now!

Yeah would be nice if a mod would clean it up. There are probably 2 dozen post here to complain about ebay.
sorry for empathising with you by relating our stories about other companies that screw you over, rip you off or otherwise give crappy customer service. guess you only want talk to other people when they say what you wanna hear

thats not it at all. I posted this to imform others of what this company did and to stay away from them. I just wanted to get the thread back on topic. I hope this thread will prevent someone else being messed over by this company. I know this company will not make this situation right for me and niether will this post. I just want people warned about there business practices. I realize this probably wasn't the best section to post this in but since the vendor section says coming soon this was the only other place. I really didn't even think this post would generate any response much like many of my other posts here. I apoligize if it upset anyone that I asked for the post to be cleaned up. I just wanted this to stay on topic so peopple know what this company is doing.

I placed an order, they processed my card and got paid and I never received my order. They don't answer the phone numbers listed nor do they reply to emails. They don't even list where they are located. I do not recommend anyone ever deal with these people. They have taken my money and I am screwed. Don't get screwed by these fakes as I have. Use another, proven site. And by the way, I checked several BBB both on and off internet and they are not recommended. Try for yourself and you will see. What a bunch of jerks!

leave these crooks alone unless you like throwing away money or sending money and receiving nothing but ONE BS email saying they are working on it. Ha! I lost my money and got NOTHING in return. SCAM! Leave them alone. Shop elsewhere.

Might be stating the obvious, but don't confuse the bad guys with
4Wheelers Supply http://www.4wheelerssupply.com/ which is a standup, honest operation, IMO. Although I've never mailordered from them, I just go to the store. Great bunch, yo.

Very True! 4wheelerssupply.com is an excellent company to deal with. I have gotten many good deals from them (over the counter) which the mail order companies couldn't touch. I hope that the clarification is made at Pirate as well.

I had ordered a rear bumper for my LJ and had to email them 3 days later only to find they wanted to bump the price for a new product and it would be back ordered for 3 to 4 weeks. They offered to upgrade my product the entire time ignoring the fact that I had requested and paid extra for expedited shipping. I had to threaten and yell at them for them to get me a similar bumper after a week of talking back and forth. I will never order from them again.

I seem to remember hearing complaints about that website before.

But, consider it God's sign that a 3" body lift is stupid.
