View Full Version : Receiver for a '75 - different from '76?
Ok, I would like to put a receiver on my '75 wagon. All of the lists for receivers I see go back to '76. Is there much of a difference in mounting one for a '76 to a '75?
I doubt there is any difference at all.
I have one from an 85 I clamped in place on my 70. It fit just fine.
BTW it's for sale here...

Supposedly the frame width changed slightly along with the rear suspension design around 75. I put a hitch from a newer XJ Cherokee on my 72 and it matched up perfect, just had to drill a few holes. What is the width center to center of your frame rails in the rear?
There is no difference in frame widths. I have the rear sections of an 85, 68 and 70 frame and cross member sitting not 10" away from me, they are the same. 38" (minus a hair) outside to outside.
tadsal - do you know what the shipping would be to 49203?
I'll have to figure that out when I get home, it's sitting on the table where I took those pic's. Send me an email to remind me.
