Was there a front license plate bracket for the 3 piece bumpers? Finally got around to registering my Bicentennial plates to go on my '76J10 and I'd hate for the front plate to get all bent up like the one on there now.

thanks

So you're actually registering it with actual 1976 tags? Cool

Yep, In Maryland you can run tags that were current the year your historic vehicle is. I bought a set of Red, White, and Blue tags on ebay last registered in 1980 and dropped them off at the title place when I was registering one of my other vehicles. The regular historic tags are just plain black lettering on a white background with the word historic on them.

Now that I know I can use them it helps with the decisions for repainting the truck.

No pics of the new plates though, don't like putting pics of license plates online. they'll look like this though.

My old Kaiser manual shows a bracket for the front bumpers, but it looks like a metal clip bent in a "J" shape that hooks over the top of the plate adn it screwed into the holes on the bottom side of the bumper.

I have yet to see this part in real life.
