Now I know that sources for these are hard to come by, but I need a refresher about where some of you got your front springs for your J4000? Mine are all screwed up.

The place I got my springs through was a distibutor for Triangle Springs out of PA. I was able to get 8 leaf heavy duty springs for less than $400. Check out their web site at http://www.flaggparts.com

I got the front springs for my truck from a local HD truck spring shop, fronts for less than $350.00. Check the yellow pages. Any good spring shop ought to be able to build anything that you want, they can give you extra lift too, if that's what you're into.

I ordered front springs for a J3000 from Espo for around $270. This was the least expensive place I was able to find.

Try ALCAN Springs, custom made for you, cheaper (and better from what some people say) than National. I was told by a person that bought some from Alcan that it is about $160 per spring, custom made to the weight of your rig. http://www.alcanspring.com/

I looked at Espo's site...must be that they don't list springs for the pre '74 Jeeps..I guess I have to call them.

This is the message that I got from ESPO when I asked ab out springs for my 71 Gladiator: Hope this helps :D
We don't have anything in a lift kit on the Jeep trucks, but we can do
springs with either 1" or 2" lift. The arch being done hot or cold should not
make a difference in how long they last. All spring have there final arch set
and are matched into pairs by cold arching. Front springs would be $230/pr
for 6 leaf or $270/pr for 8 leaf. That is stock height, 1" or 2" over stock
would be $40/pr. On the rear they list J2000 as 26" x 26" and J3000 & J4000
as 25 1/4" x 31 3/4". Which do you have and how many leafs are they?
We will be at Carlisle in July for the Chrysler show and in October for
the fall show.

Hmm, so they do have them. That seems to be cheaper than what Grand Rapids Spring quoted me.
