:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: I was eating lunch at a local brewery yesterday, and what do I see backed up against the trash bin outside the window? A nice looking M715, slightly beat up but in pretty decent shape rustwise. The bows for the top were on it, but no top. It had been spray painted white, with "bubba" painted on the drivers door.
Bartender didn't know if it was for sale, but she gave me the brewery owner's email address . . . now the waiting begins!:D

You might be a FSJ lover if you say something is nice then follow it with the words "slightly beat up" :)

Thanks Doug. It's kinda hidden, look for the brick wall under the broken neon sign that now says "E a oe's" When you find the wall, park opposite the tree (never park UNDER the tree, the junkies that think they're birds hangout up there, you don wanna see the mess THEY would leave on your windshield!) Then search for the loose brick in the wall, pull out the brick, careful not to get stabbed by any loose needles. Look through the hole (be careful at night, there might be "one eye" looking back!) There, over the passed out bodies, you'll see the entrance to the brewery.
Tell em I sent you!

For those on the east coast, I know that there are 3 M715's at an Army surplus vehicle place in Kinston, N.C. I saw them as I was headed to the hospital to visit my grandpa. One was faded red (fire dept, but I could not read which one). The others were OD green. They also have a collection of 2 1/2 ton and 5 ton trucks..
Neat place. Maybe I will stop some day when I am passing through.

The place is called White Owl Motor Company. I grew up with the people that own it. It was a Jeep Dealer and a GMC Dealer many moons ago. The GMC dealer is still there. They are not cheap, but they have a lot of (NOS) old stock. You can find them on the web. These same guys bought out a slew of Army Jeeps from France that had been kept in Salt Mines after the war. They are all long gone. They also use to have Mules and a few Mighty Mites. Ask for Mike or Jerry Hill, it has been many years since I have seen them.
