Here are a few pics added to the photobucket.
Just have the tad perches tacked on and making sure it looks ok. Does to me. I lowered it back down and just need to burn the perches on and start bolting it back up. Only a 1/16" difference in height between the two perches after tacking them on. That also is good to me.
Nice and warm here today:thumbsup:

How long has it taken? hmmm.... tough to say. I assume you mean the SOA stuff. I dont work on it steady every night or anything.
The hardest part was making up my mind on what exactly i wanted to do. Do ya put a few bucks into the dana 44 and enjoy or do ya go ahead and upgrade to 14/60's??
I chose to stick with the 44's for now. One afternoon i pulled all the stock steering from it as well as the front diff. Then saturday i ground down the diiff side to make room for the tad perches and tacked things up. Really just a few hours each day.
Tony at Bullgearinc.com and Tad at ttfabworks.com have made this pretty easy so far if your thinking about it.
Maybe next sat get the diff back in and begin putting on the flat top knuckles.
I will say I am liking the looks of it. The height looks tuff!:D

How long has the SOA itself taken?
How long has the SOA itself taken?
You are going to have to clarify for these folks.
Do you mean:
Welding the perches?
Flipping the rear?
Both?
Everything including brakes, shocks, driveshafts, steering?
I can do front SOA perches in a bit over an hour if the axle is out and ready.
For my build, it took about 25 (not sure, link is in my sig), 6 hour days, but there was much more going on there than welding/installing parts.

Starting with the axles still underneath the Jeep. How long does it take to get em out, and weld them, and flip the rear?

I'd give you a weekend +, but I'm sort of slow.
Depends on how well set up in advance you are, where you have to work and what you have to work with.
You can come up on frozen bolts, cracked hangers and frame sections, gas tank skid plates that are so bent they do not come down easily. Really, it's different for eveyone.
Then you still have all the rest to deal with.
EDIT:
If you are woried about these things and have not done the research, it's probably not your best option. Although an SOA drives like stock and flexes great, it's not for eveyone.

Yeah I have to agree with Tad on this. If you had everything you needed right in front of you i would say a good weekend and you could be done. I think having everything is a tall order though. I am lucky and(over years) have assembled a pretty good shop setup ie; stick and mig welder, torches, air tools etc. If i were doing this without that and had to run down the street everytime i needed something cut or welded it would make such a project a pain in the behind.

Sweet, did you MIG them up or stick with the nickel rod?

yeah, i pulled my axle installed the new perches and bolted the axle back in within 2.5 hours.. thats with a trip to the store for a new angle finder...
thats without steering, shocks, swaybar.... this stuff is what takes a little while...
