View Full Version : Anyone have any info on this pic?
Maybe an article about the team, or a write up for the truck, or something:

Looks like it would have a pretty interesting story.

Are you referring to the link from the picture, or does that site have more info? I think I got that pic from that site, but it was just in the bunch of j-truck photos, so I may have missed something...

saw a grill guard just like that (only black) at a yard in phx but when i went back a month latter the j10 truck was nothing more than a stripped cab and a frame. was wanting the muscle grill but ended up with a complete last style grille instead

I don't know much about it really. I don't think the truck(s) were used to race but to haul the race bikes in. So, if anyone has more info, please share...
Here is the last time I posted the pic...

I don't know how or when but we need to get together somehow for a International Jeep Gathering. Maybe if you guys from Argentina drive up to Mexico and we could drive down to Mexico. There are a few guys from
Mexico also. Maybe we could use GSMikie as a tour guide;)
Argentina has the coolest Jeeps in My opinion:thumbsup:
Someone needs to find and ship me a T18 Gladiator. Or drive it up to my house and I'll either adopt you or fly you back home.:drivin:
Seriously:D :fsj:

Wouldn't dare leave without you. :drivin: :fsj: Although I have a feeling you would not be on the return trip.

It would be very good for organizing an international encounter of jeep in mexico, in Colombia also there are many and they would be something inedito. The subject is to organize well and with time and to put máqunas to point for similar passage besides to be able the permissions to cross Bolivia, peru and other paiseas until mexico:fsj:

Judging by that license plate the pic could be about 12-15 yrs old, at the oldest. IIRC Utah put that plate out in '93 or '95.

WOW! Talk about a one of a kind!
Do you mind resizing your pictures to 800 pixels wide? It is a slow load on 26.4K dial up. Some people think I should sell a 401 to pay for satellite high speed. They are nuts! :fsj:

I've heard a few old timers talk about their old FSJ trucks being "bullet-proof" now theres one that really might be--at least in spots.
really unique rig!!!! wonder why/how the doors were reversed? Factory down there or part of armourd truck conversion?
I imagine its got an early 6; and moves out REAL slow with that moneybox body.

Hey, there ARE up-armored jeeps out there after all. How about sending a couple over here to B'dad for us? That would be great!

That Marlboro Team truck was used in promoting cigs a few years ago. Anyone remember the "Get The Gear" deal? I think you saved points from your smokes and sent in to get stuff like lighters and duffel bags. I think they may have had a give away contest to,,,
