So your the guy that won the auction. I was going to plop in a high big of $75 for it near the end, but it had already passed that amount when I went to bid.
Glad you won it. I already have a dash compass, but figured an NOS one would be cool.

I thought that I remembered that you had the complete kit. It seems that the mount for the dash is not with a lot of the ones I have seen come on Ebay. I sometimes will put in an early bid just to watch and see what interest there may be in an item. Lately I have gone the snipe route and put in a high bid to take the item. In the last two weeks some nos turn lens and housings came up to bid. I knew there was no one that was going to go over my snipe bid of $250+, I was wrong, I cannot imagine what his top number was going to be after he passed me and my bid. As I get closer to the end of the restoration and see what I need to finish her up, the deeper I am willing to go. Anyone got any clear turn lens that are perfect they want to let go of?:)

I'll take a look in my parts box but I believe I've got some real nice chrome-rimmed clear lenses I may be persuaded to let go of.

Are you sure? I thought all the Kaiser era Jeeps used the chrome trimmed ones. Both my 71's did, though I can't be sure they where original.

My 68 were just plain clear ones. The earlier models seem to have had the chrome trim. Who knows what was going on as the factory was shifting from Jeep Kaiser to AMC in 69-70. I would settle for the chrome as only a few would know any difference between the years.:)

So you were the 'snipe' bidder for the lenses and housings! My bid won out by $0.20. In the last few seconds I watched the price climb fast. I am not meaning this to tease you or anything- if you want them you can have them for what I paid. I bought these as a backup in case I could not find a pair of the chrome rimmed lenses as they are not correct for my '72 wagoneer. All I have found is one NOS right lens with chrome trim, but unfortunately it has a crack along one corner so I continue my seach for a complete set. I would trade outright for a pair of the correct nos lenses. I don't need the housings or inner lenses- just the outer lenses. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the buildup of your truck. I am taking a slightly different route in that I am collecting all the parts I will need ahead of time like lenses, trim, emblems etc, before doing the body off restore.

Very cool!
My '64 actually has it's original one. It's the same shape as yours, but the "jeep" label is not across the face. It's on the lower body, just above the adjusting screw.
Maybe there was a wag and truck version.
Anyway, the only thing that dissappoints me is the way it's lit at night. If your's is like mine, you will see.:D

He happened to have a Left and Right that were exactly what I was looking to find. These don't have the chrome lip. Come to find out I have bought at least one if not more hard to find items off of him on Ebay.
He supplied my 4-Speed Shift Knob. (Now if I can find his address and get him out of town, maybe we can take a look at what else he has hidden in his parts collection.)

I forgot to ask.
When you get your compass, could you please possibly scan and email me the instructions? Never could find any info in the manuals on it:) .
