So I may be keeping my buggy for the next two years. Right know I have the stock 360/727/208. I also have an 88 comanchee that has a bad trany. the 4.0 FI is in awsome shape with only 125000 miles on it, and a 231 with the stock slip yoke.
I like the AMC 727 and the 208 and I all ready have a bad *** cross member for them. What would be needed for the install? If I am not mistaken the 4.0 and amc straight six used the same trany bolt pattuern so would I just have to get the flex plate and torque converter from an old CJ Or is there mo to this install.
oh I like the 4.0 engines and am ok with the lower power outputs bucause I have 6.16's so I think the gears will make up for this.
