Well Guys Im hooked. My jeep tow rig has turned into a money pit like everything else I own and I love it.
I have been looking into intakes and carbs. It seems that the Holley Pro Jection kit is only a few bucks more at $775 from Summit.
What do you guys recomend. My carb is in need of some tweaking and I sure could use the power and reliability of fuel injection.
Also who has the cheapest prices?
Thanks

There's a member here (TPIguy) that has designed and assembled his own system using GM parts.
I heard and read good things about it.
Dang, wish I could remember his website.
Oh well, someone will be along shortly with it.

Also, look at the Howell kits. They also use GM TBI systems vs. Holley's own custom setup. Easier to get parts for replacement.
TPI guy can probably set you up cheapest.

Check out TPIGuy's website at www.customefis.com (http://www.customefis.com) The guy who runs it, John Wilson, knows his stuff and sells COMPLETE kits for prices cheapr than Howell's.

www.customefis.com (http://www.customefis.com) - TPIGuys web site. He has cheapest and most complete kit. Holley leaves a couple of things out. for a 2-300 dollars more than howell's throttle body kit, you can get TPIGuys Multi-port kit.
He is helping me with my Multi-port. I wanted to do some of the things myself. (actually, at this point, i wish i had sprung for the whole kit) I have been working on mine slowly for months now.

I've heard lots of bad things about the Holley kits from reading on bbs.off-road.com

I have had good luck on my holley project kit on my mustang. About 8 years old now. The 2bbl version is only good for 275 horses so it is holding me back some. I plan to put it on the Wagon one day. It is an older kit. Lacks map and closed loop but still works great AND I get better gas milage than a car AND I pass emissons clean!!! ('73 mustang - no catalytic converter).
One nice thing about TBI is you don't have to mess with replacing the manifold. Certainly a TPI would work better but it takes a little more tuning to get right.
