Edelbrok manifold install

Throttle linkage, Mine is short so whats the fix?

When I installed my Edelbrock manifold my linkage was too short also. To fix it I cut off the part of the old bracket that had the square hole. Then I welded it to a 2"x6" piece of 1/8" steel. Then I drilled new holes in the piece of steel and it was done. Is sounds complicated but once you look at it you should get the picture.

on mine, i made a plate out of 1/4" thick aluminum, bolted it down to the manifold where the bracket should go, using flat-head bolts so the top was still smooth. then i put the bracket where it needed to be, drew little circles thru the mounting holes, and drilled and tapped holes to bolt it down to. basically a flat plate with 2 countersunk holes, and 2 drilled and tapped holes. works great.

The edelbrock instructions should include a template or directions on how to fab the extension bracket for the carb. I just don't remember if these were included with the manifold or the carb. In any case, call their tech line and i'm sure they can help

Mine came with the manifold, I still have them. If you want, I can scan a copy and email them to you. Send me an email if you would like... It also has the PCV hookup and such.
