OK, first... NO PIX yet. You just have to wait. :p I just bought a 77 401/t400/QT J20 w/lift, oversize wheels and tires with camper shell right here in town. We have been watching this truck for 6 years. I am tellin ya, 401's are freakin rare around here. This one is for our anniversary of 6 years in April, a gift to Krista for $1500. He paid $6500 for it in the next town, Cortez, in 2001. It won't start and he cain't figger it out, so it is outa there. He wanted $2000. We are going ballistic with 401s people. Try to stop us. http://frontier.net/~mystkblu/smilies/yellowsmilewinkgrin.gif
OH, and it is white. Just like the Jeepstress like 'em.

Charlie! I will be in Silver City next week. Whats going on Saturday after next?
lessee... restack stuff stored in basement. Remove spare parts from 3 FSJs and part them down to skeletens, store parts in basement and load remains on a trailer and haul em off to the scrap yard.
We have a Buick 350 here cheap folks. We are keeping 2 sets of 3.54 gears QT type D44 Waggy axels that need to be pulled. We want the D20 off the 69 and some dash parts, otherwise that will go. There will be some trim and widgets available from a 69 Wag, 76 Cerokee and 75 Wag Custom (which is narrowed to a shell right now). I guess the first step is some decent inevntory of parts to y'all. ;)

If I can get 2 front tires and an alternator changed by Sunday, I will be down in my GW. Mantra: It will be done.
I'll be running my sister to El Paso that Saturday morning to catch her plane and head up I25 after that. Could take in a visit or maybe a toolie off road on the way home.

LOL! How often can you buy an anniversary present for your spouse and be able to enjoy it yourself?! ;) I know what he's up to. I think it's cute!
We've got most of the interior pulled out of the 75. We need to get the dash and some other stuff but it's pretty much ready to scrap.

Lessee...... My two wags, my new j-truck, Flint's GW (that 401 came out of my old Cherk), and the 401 from the 75 sitting in the basement that is going to Ryan.
So, that would be......1....2...3....4....5. Yup, five 401s.

LOL! We drive everything but the parts rigs regularly! And things don't rust here in the high desert. It'd take 100s of years for an FSJ to rust to death. Of course the electrical system would be eaten by pack rats and the vacuum hose eaten by marmots within minutes of parking it, but it sure wouldn't rust! ;)

Go ahead and do that Charlie! This spring I'm taking all the crappy QTs busting them in half and putting them around the flower beds. They'll make great planters for my pansies and poppies. :D And since they reek of QT fluid it'll keep the chickens and cats out of my flowers this year!

Wuss! :p You keep it in the garage and it'll get fat and lazy! 401s are like range ponies. They keep thier tails to the wind and forage stuff goats wouldn't eat. Lock 'em in a stall and they wither and die. My 401s start up on the first turn no matter the temp and being stabled ouside. My 76 can be grumbly with her manual choke, but my 77 never ever not started, even in sub zero weather.
