Manual choke problems.

I picked up one of those cheapy $10 man choke kits for my 1405. I just seem to have nutting but trouble. Choking on works good but getting it off is the problem any suggestions for brand or maybe vent cable?

Couple things to check.Looking at the choke side of the carb make sure the choke cable is parallel to the engine from the carb to the first clamp point.the closer the first clamp point is to the carb the less flexing of the cable.I found I ended up fabricating a couple new clamps to get the correct hights.Also on mine I ended up flipping upside down so choke is on when pushed in and off when pulled out.

Torque, that's how my cj5 was and I never had these problems. I shortened the cable up a little more and it seems to be working for now we'll see.
