Help! Dangling Orange Wire by Tranny

Looks like this orange wire comes down in a harness with a yellow wire that is currently attached to the tranny. The orange wire is hanging loose right now and I can't see where it is supposed to attach. Any ideas?

Sounds like the E-Drive indicator wire for the T-case. It clips onto a terminal on top of the T-case forward of the Vac Shift motor for E-Drive on Pass Side

Orange would be the correct color for the e-drive switch.

So this is an indicator light wire that would display in the cluster? Is it possible to reattach from underneath or do I need to attach it by removing the cover under the carpet

it should snap on (the passenger side of the QT , where the half case meets, forward of the vent of the QT.... unless the wire is cut off, then you have to find the other half
