I went on the warn website attempting to find hd replacement axles for the front dana 44 in my 79 j-10. They dont list the j-10, only cjs and wagons.
Did the 79 wagons have the same pass side drop 44s as the j-10s of the same year?
Will these axles listed by warn fit my 44?
Who else makes a good replacement axle?

If it is the Wagoneers Warn has them listed for, they won't work in a WT J10 J20 or WT Cherokee, because they would be NT axles making them to short. Custom made maybe the only source, I don't know for sure.

Call them, I have learned that they dont list everything they have on there sites/catalog. Tell them what you want and they will find it.

Uhhh, not quite. The Warn stuff is waaay higher quality. Yukon is import and sometimes inconsistant in quality and strenght when compared side to side. You can get Warns or Superiors in any length from Currie. Alloy is also a good quality axle.

Get MOSER'S,
Moser has the best axles. They have a two day turn around. Just send in your axles and they'll copy them exactly and return them with the new ones to you. There prices are fair and the quality top notch. When I was racing I broke a set of Mark William's axles, that's when the guy's told me about moser and never had any more problems. They've been around a long time and have a special heat treatment system the makes their axles very strong but still flexable. Check them out on line or give them a call.
