I decided I am going with a 3" body lift on the truck. Some descriptions say 12 bolt only or 10 bolt only? Which bolt amount do I have? I would assume 12 bolt but you know the saying.....
Are there any other gotchas on going this route?
Thanks!

pretty sure its going to be 12, 6 on the cab and 6 on the box (Long Box) pretty sure thats what I have. If you do it, get new mounts as well.

Radiator will need to come down to keep it inline with the fan.
Shift linkage may need to be lengthened (one 2" and one 3" I have done were fine, one 2" I did needed some extra length added).
Pay attention to all lines hose and wires (brake, electrical, fuel, etc) some may need some tweaking, others may need to be lengthened.
Not sure how a QTrac shifter even works but take a good look at that also.
Your Ebrake cable may need to be loosened also to provide a bit of slack on a 3".

I believe my sportside bed has 8 mounts.

Mounts? What mounts?
I'll probably get the kit from bj's offroad, I need to see what the kit comes with (brackets for the radiator maybe?), I might need to lengthen the low range lever linkage for the q trac, I'll have to take a look.
Thanks for the pointers, keep em comin'!

Body Mounts, you should replace the bodymounts when you put the body lift in. Body lifts do not come with mounts.
Also I just checked my J10 it has a total of 14 Lift Pucks, and the shortbed has 12 pucks.

No, not included or needed (it's really a slide it down lower thing), you just drill some new holes in the core support a few inches down from where they are now.
If you have a right angle drill it makes it a bit easier, sort of a tight space to work in.
Look at your radiator mounting, try to picture sliding the radiator down 3" (I know that's hard to picture now as it would hit the steering box, once it all sits 3" higher, there will be room).
Not an impossible task.
EDIT:
I just thought of this reading another post.
Not sure what bumpers you have but some sort of mod to relocate them into the correct position. If they are stock you will need to remove the front prior to doing the BL. Not sure if that's even an option for a stock rear truck bumper (I've never really had stock bumpers except for the ones that went to the crusher).

Ut Oh, I counted 5 per side, 2 each side for the bed, 2 each side for the cab, one each side on the very front of the frame for a total of 10, unless we are counting where the frame arches in the rear above the axle, there is a nut and bolt there on each side, there would be a gap if the bed was lifted 3 inches, then that would make 12 total.
Good pont on the bumpers. I was thinking for the bumpers some thick flat metal plates with 4 holes in them, 2 holes for the frame and 2 holes for the bumper brackets, hopefully the same could be done for the rear I think.

Odd I have 14 on my 86, 2 on the rear Crossmember, 2 more about 8" up from that, 2 just forward of the wheel well and 2 at the very front of the box, and 6 for the cab and front clip
