It is time.

It's been sleeping all winter here in Michigan; about 5 months.

Need I get one a' them deals where ya' stick a'gear deal down the distributor hole and turn over the engine some before firein'it up, or would it be o.k. to just crank it some with the * plugs out?

Happy to have the site back, and looking forward to another season of repairs and fsj fun (as if the two were separable).

'preciate it,
Slick

While a preluber is always better than a non-preluber, it's only absolutely *necessary* when you've changed the bearings. There should still be oil in the internal galleys from the last time it was run.

I wouldn't even bother pulling the plugs; just slip off the distributor connector, crank it over for about 10-15 seconds (charge the battery up ahead of time), then hook everything else up and fire it up.

Actually, read "coil connector" for "distributor connector" in my advice; it would work to prevent the engine from firing, but just be more of a pain.
