I have a 93 gmc jimmy and am thinking of throwing a set of 44's under there. Prolly a set of wide tracs, as i think it currently has a 58ish wms stock. Kinda narrow for my comfort on hills and such. So I would need wide trac 44's, that have lockouts on the fronts. The current has a air engaged deal, but Im sure I can just plug that line and the tcase will still engage. Just will need to lockout the hubs. Prolly weld the spiders, throw on some 35's and maybe regear and call it a day. Just need something cheap and small for around here for now......Don't want to get into anything crazy again.

BTW what also are the carrier breaks on the axles? And what the lowest numerical gear avaliable for the 44's? Thinking 538's?

Carrier break for the Dana 44 is 3.73 down, 3.92 up. Don't know about the lowest gears, but 5.38 sounds like it.

Randy's has 5.89 and some gears lower than 3.92 that will fit the 3.73 carrier.
