Im curious what the difference is between a LB and a SB?

Long Block includes heads, everything but the sheet metal and intake manifold. Shortblock is, no heads, or sheetmetal, some rebuilders do not include the timming set, cam lifters, or oilpump.

I see, So it really doesnt have any bearing to me right at the moment. I thought they were different types of engine block.
