Would there be any problems with taking the cam out of my old engine and putting it in the new engine? The cam only has about 500 miles on it and has a better cut than the one that is in the new engine. Would I need to take the lifters from the old engine also or just get new ones? Thanks.

I would think it should be fine, regarding the cam. If the lifters also had 500 miles, came w/ the cam kit, should be fine as well.

Man, ....my stomach is growlin'! LOL :D

all you need to do is take them all apart get them cleaned pick up a set of valve stem seals and bring them up as far as helping with the cam change i talked to the guys in mexico and they said we could do it on the beach that way we will be in no hurry and we will have fresh sea food (shrimp/clams/fish ) to eat i told them it could take up to 3 years to do but we would hurry........hehehehehe

3 years  ! Wow we would really be moving. I think we would have to slow down :D .

Where can I get some valve stem seals and how much will they run? As soon as I get them and you find the time, I would like to come up there on a weekend and rebuid the heads. If that is cool with you?

When you swap the cam AND lifters make sure each lifter goes back on the cam lobe it was on. If you get the lifters mixed up then get new lifters and use them.

I did that already, took out the lifters last night and they look new. I put them in a box in the same order and place that they came out. And they I secured them in the box so they would not move. I will be pulling the cam tonight.
