Just curious if any of you crawlers have ever attempted to bolt up the super-low gear twin Toyota T-cases under an FSJ.

you'd have some sick *** gearing for sure. i just think i'd want something beefier case wise just because of the shear weight and force it would go through. it's definitely a possibility.

not beefy enough for FSJ that was gonna wheel hard.(imho).... but if a guy wanted something with a toyota diesel that was still capable of 'all-terrain' use, i would not have any BIG fears running yota trans and t-case in an older, stripped down FSJ... BUT... for an XJ... (since AX4, AX5, AX15, and AW4 transmissions are really toyota stuff anyway) i would say go for it, just gonna have to go with yota or waggy axles, since the yota stuff is pass drop up front... AW4 (with swapped-in yotamainshaft) into a marlin crawler, with waggy's front and rear... that would be kinda fun....

I think it would be a cool setup. Ive seen a bunch of them yota's running running dual cases behind v-8's anyways and they seem to hold up just fine.

Advance Adapters lists an adapter to mate a TH350 trans to the toy cases ( both the chain and gear driven ). I need to double check, but they probably make one for the Th400. 203/205 doublers are great, and I'm working on collecting parts for one,but theyre so **** heavy and all the weight nearly overcompensates for the gearing.

you can get wicked gearing from a low-geared case mounted to anothers' rangebox.
