I have an '87 GW 360 with a projection EFI with 2 bbl. When the engine is cold, it accelerates great from a standstill. However, once it has warmed up, if I floor it from a stand still, it will hesitate and even stall. The hotter the engine the worse the problem. I've made every adjustment to the proection unit I can think of. I've checked fuel pressure, vacuum advance and timing. I'm out of ideas. A couple of other notes:
- Engine appears to be flooding when I goose it from a standstill while hot.
- Manifold vacuum appears to always be on the low side.
- Oil pressure is on the low side.

check the temp switch that tells the system if the engine is cold. if its not working, the system may be staying in the "choke" mode all the time, causing it to run very rich. on mine (older, analog system) these are the correct temps versus resistance:
72 deg = 3800 ohms
212 deg = 182 ohms
when it comes off choke the fast idle solenoid will retract, letting the throttle stop control the idle speed. thats one way to tell if you are still on the choke circuit.
on mine, i installed some LEDs on the front of the closed-loop box (digital camera on the way - pics soon!!!)
green = power to the system
yellow = on choke
red (original) = rich/lean
green/orange = auto/manual mixture control, with a DPDT switch to select auto/manual.
btw, when on choke, the system ignores the closed-loop system, and relies on the settings on the control box.
