Well, I went to bolt the front axle under my Wag tonight & found that the spring plates are the wrong size! It's a D44HD set up for SOA & I have the same problem with theD60 rear. I figured that the plates from D44 axles would fit, but I guess not. What should I use for them? I read on another thread that someone used 1/2" plate with the correct holes drilled in. Will that work OK or should I find something else?

1/2" plate will work. It is primarily used so that you don't have to bend flanges (like you would have to if you used thinner material) to give it rigidity.
Here are the ones that I got from Dynatrac with my axle. IIRC they were $29 each.

I used the original ones off my 84 GW to mount a 78 Ford Dana 60. I did have to grind on the driver side some but it worked.

Thanks for the pics guys! I looked a little closer tonight & I can make my plates work if I mill the holes a little wider. It won't take much at all, really. Should've noticed that last night, but I was too annoyed at the time about it!
