trying to figure out what i am gonna do with the turbo wag over the winter... anyone done this, tried it, looked at it, or done any of the math for it yet?

the front half of the rear spring looks to be about 25 or 26 inches, and the rear half looks like 31 inches... the fronts look like 24 on the front half and 25 on the rear?
so, the front shackle would have to move forward a few in order to keep the front axle centered or maybe push it forward a little...

random thoughts. feel free to shoot the whole idea down if you wish...

peace
Dave

After giving this much thought..............the only possible reason I could come up with for this swap is.........................Wag Sag at both ends?

you know, YJ springs fit the front AFIK, if you are looking for a cheap solution. BTW- if you need some custom spring rate or something, give Alcan a call. They are experts at making springs for wierd custom applications.

Loger springs = more flex. Also a popular swap for the Blazer guys....52" or 56" rears on the front of a Blazer nets about a 4-5" lift without a horse shose looking spring. We put F250 rears on the front of my buddies 1979 F250 Super Cab and netted 5" lift and it still rides decent.

Leave the stock front leaf on your Jeep and add rear leafs to the pack....
That is what we did on the F250 mentioned above....oh almost forgot my Jeep has a leaf added from a 63" chevy rear pack. I cut it down so it is 1/4" shorter than the stock front main leaf. Cheap add a leaf and gave me 1" of lift!

the yota guys love to go with rears up front and GM 63's in back... i am looking at something along that line.. nice flexy rears up front, add leaves from the front pack as necessary to get the rate up a little... probably keep the front hanger location where it is and use plates to move the axle forward, or just re-drill the main leaves... this will all be incorporated with the SOA / shackle reverse, everything else for the winter... most likely that is what i will do if i don't go coils...

anyhow..
y'all have fun now..
