not sure on the exact years, but the low pinion 44 used in the small bronco of about the era you mentioned do use a 6 bolt spindle that you should be able to swap the spindle/hub/stub onto your jeep axle.

another way to do it is with the jeep/gm "small bearing" early disc spindle(73 to 76ish) wich should also work with the later ford 5 lug hubs if you cant find the early bronco stuff.

a friend of mine parted out an 80ish twin traction beam f150,and it also was a 6 bolt spindle and 5 lug hub,so you could check out that route as well.

i cant tell you for sure what small differences there might be with the gm and dodge flat tops, but i know they use a similar steering system,so the driver side should allready be drilled and tapped like a GM is,and i know that all 44 knuckles will swap. if youre planning a full high steer, dodge knuckles should be fine. if you want a high drag link and low tie rod,not sure what that part of the dodge looks like, but i still dont see why they wouldnt work. hoprfully someone else can chime in more accurately on that

further questions? :drivin:

You do have to buy different wheels,:( but the faster solution is to get
the rear diff from a 74 75 wag, and stick to 6lug wheel arrangement.
If your swapping out the front, its safer to do the same to the rear.

Thanks for the info. I put new wheels and tires on my jeep befor I got the idea to gow D44 front and rear so I got to go 5lug conversion and besides the matching rear ended up in a scrap yard befor I started looking for the swap so I'm just working with wat I got. Thanks for the info.

ah,
Do you NEED a D44 or just want front disc brakes? Because you
can convert your front diff.
