right now im set up with a passy drop from the factory and im goin drivers drop and well everything is in the way. one: is the gastank. that is goin bye bye as soon as i can get under it. two: the bottom of the body is in the way. as far as running my doubler with the clearance issues would we recommend a cutting wheel or just a BFH to the bottom? three: the exhaust i just had done is now in the way. im hoping cut it off the manifold and have it redone will have it dreamy. is that it?

I know what your in for. I went from driverside to passenger side drop with dana 60 front and rear. we should swap steering parts. everthing is working out execpt for the steering. I had to change the cross over pipe because it went into my np205. but that the easy stuff. I have read every high and cross over steer article I can find and cant find a cheap way out.

when i went from a driver drop to a passenger drop i didnt really hae any issues with the steering. i had to use the u bolts and spring plates that came with the older axle, and the dana 300 wanted to occupy the same space as the catalytic convertor  other than that, piece of cake.

alot of the issues youll have go alon with swapping in a dana 60 and a doubler-youll still have them even if you were using a same side drop 60 and 2nd t case.

on the gas tank, sounds like a good reason to ditch that sucker and go with a cool *ss fuel cell

it does suck to have to re-work exhaust that you just put on. :(

just remember how worth it it will all be once you have a rev cut 60 and a doubler on the trails

I also went passenger to driver's side on "Nom". I had to put in a 1" body lift to get the NP208 to not hit the body floor. The gas tank was replace for a fuel cell as Scotty said.

One nice thing, If you have a Qtrac xmember, you just swap it and it will give you more clearance for the front driveshaft, though that will probably not apply if you go with the doubler.

208 is a lot wider than a 205 isnt it. i could probably live with a 1 inch body lift "if" i had to do that
