When you run a dura guard or higher end filter your oil bypass in the oil filter adaptor is active and this causes BIG problems down the road, also these oil bypasses are now cast in by crown probly due to product liability. Your spring in the bypass can weaken over time allowing changes in your oiling. Here is a pic of oil filter adaptor WESDOG modified to stop that process, more tech to come

What are you saying? A high end (meaning high quality & $$ ???) filter is bad for your engine? Also, what filters (aside from the dura guard youmentioned) are considered high end?

Napa Gold?

any really high filtering oil filter, I only use WIX which is the same as another filter i can not remember the name of. But make sure the filter you buy has a anti drainback valve, this is SOOO IMPORTANT to your oil pump life in your AMC V8

NAPA GOLD are the same as WIX. I use them exclusively....never had a problem like FRAM.
