Hub set ups ? ?

Why were the hubs changed from the spring and cup flat drive flange to the sleeve setup with the kinda raised flange , wich seems to have happened around the time of the t-case change from Q-trac to the np's.

I guess what im trying to get at is can I use the sleeve deal
with my 79 QUADRA setup? Only because they are redily available.

What fired all this up was that for some reason the spring pushed against and ground the cup that rides on the outer wheel bearing into smitherines.

yes you can use the sleave setup, but I believe that still used a cup so it does not ride against the bearings.

Are you sure because the one I just took apart didnt have the cup.
Thats not to say it hasnt been tampered with before my arrival.
